OfSTED Inspection January 2010 - 22 February 2010
All parents and pupils should have received the report following our Inspection in late January. The report will be placed on our school web site by the end of the week, and can also be found on the OfSTED web site shortly. The web address is www.ofsted.gov.uk

Inclement weather update - 22 February 2010
Snow is still possible over the next few weeks. Just a reminder, can parents please ensure mobiles are switched on early on a snowy morning as this is how we will contact you in the event of a closure. We will also update the web site and place information on local radio stations. Thanks to everyone for their co operation.

Race Equality Policy - 22 February 2010
Our revised Race Equality Policy is available in the parents section, under the curriculum heading. The policy also identifies targets the school is working towards.

E safety leaflet - 04 January 2010

A small leaflet has been compiled (located in the letters section) to help parents ensure their children are safe whilst using the internet. All families will be provided with a paper copy for easy reference.

If parents would like to discuss e safety further, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Brown.

New Attendance Policies - 04 January 2010
We are in the process of updating our attendance policy and would appreciate input from parents and pupils. DRAFT policies have also been placed in the letters section for your reference. Ms stride will send out a letter to all parents asking for their comments regarding our new policies. We very much welcome your views and look forward to hearing your opinions.

Inclement weather and school closures - 01 January 2010

As parents will know, this term usually brings snow and  poor conditions, so as always in the event of snow and inclement weather, please listen to local radio station bulletins - BRMB, Radio WM, Beacon Radio  and Heart FM, where if we are closed an announcement will be made.

Closing the school is the last resort and this difficult decision is made in consultation with our Chair of Governors and the Local Authority.

Also check the school web site as we will put information on the home page in the latest news box!

Welcome Back - 01 January 2010

School re opens for the new school term on MONDAY 4TH JANUARY 2010. School is open to ALL pupils with the exception of Nursery as home visits are being undertaken for new children joining us this term.

We look forward to seeing you all at the usual times:

8am for Breakfast Club

8.45am for all pupils for the start of the new school day and term.

Frank Chapman update - 20 October 2009
Parents whose children were to visit Frank Chapman in June 2009 should have received a letter regarding the insurance claim. As parents will know this visit was cancelled on advice from a number of parties (as a results of sickness in school at the time) and the insurance company are to process our claim shortly. We anticipate that refunds will take place after the half term holiday and thank you in advance for your kind patience!

Parent's Evening information - 20 October 2009

Last year we distributed booklets explaining to parents how they can support their child and how assessment is undertaken at Grace Mary.With Parent's Evening taking place this week, these booklets can be viewed / printed again, and can be found in the parent tab, and through this select the curriculum option. If parents would like to know more, please come in to school to speak with either Mrs Brown or Ms Stride.

SCHOOL OPEN TO PUPILS - WEDNESDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER - 08 September 2009

HURRAY! Finally all the remedial work in the boiler house and related school pipework has been completed and I am delighted to inform you that school will be open for the start of our new school year on Wednesday 9th. Breakfast Club will be open as normal from 8am and we look forward to welcoming you all back to school.

Reception pupils that were due to start on Monday (7th) can start with the children scheduled to join us on Wednesday (9th) and we also look forward to welcoming our new Nursery pupils as arranged.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for a new exciting school year.

Goodbye and Good Luck to Year 6! - 17 July 2009

We wish our fabulous Year 6 all the best at their new schools! We know they will build on their many successes at Grace Mary, and we also have to thank them for giving us our best SAT results ever!!
