Welcome to Year Four's class page!
On Thursday this week it was national poetry day and we created these poems about our British Value of tolerance together. we then performed them in the hall in front of the school!
If we are not tolerant we’re really not clever,
Learning to accept and understand last forever.
Upon this island we respect the view of others,
We tolerate and accommodate like sisters and brothers.
Tolerance is cool so don’t be a fool.
Each of us lose and each of us win,
We look deeper than the colour of your skin.
If you want to be respected respect other religions,
And that way you avoid argumentative collisions!
Inside your head you have a mind,
And deep deep down it needs to be kind!
Even if you don’t believe it wont be seen as odd,
Peace, love and unity are taught by every god!.
Follow the rule,
We learned tolerance at school.
Don’t be wild,
Be a tolerant child.
This rap is about tolerance that’s right,
So remember it each day and each night!
I will not tolerate being hateful to others religions
I will not tolerate leaving someone out
I will not tolerate fighting over friendships, religions, decisions and beliefs
I will not tolerate causing despair and woe
I will not tolerate injustice for my fellow Brits, any colour, race, religion or belief
I will not tolerate bullies, who target other’s differences
I will not tolerate ignorance as an excuse for your rage
We will not tolerate intolerance!
