Gymnastics:

This term we are exploring the sport of gymnastics. We looked at the famous gymnast - Simone Biles - who is from our class continent (North America). 
 

We have recapped: our knowledge of the different shapes we can perform with our body; the different rolls/jumps we can perform in a sequence and what mirroring and matching are. 
 

We have been using the counterbalance hand grip when performing balances in pairs. 

Tag Rugby:

In this week's lesson, pupils have been refining how to pass the ball accurately. Also, pupils have been exploring the 'diamond' formation in our Tag Rugby lesson this week. 

Cross-Curricular Orienteering: 

Every Friday, Sycamore Class complete an Orienteering session. This week's focus was team building. Working in pairs, pupils took turns to be blindfolded and communicated well with their partner to explore the orienteering course. 

Sycamore have been continuing with their teamwork skills whilst competing orienteering activities.
