Welcome to the Sunshine Hub Page!

Hello and welcome to the Sunshine Hub- the name for our Focus Provision for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism. We have included some useful information for you about Sunshine Hub, including what your children will be learning this year.

We have recently purchased a new curriculum for our children in Sunshine, the Orchard Curriculum, which is created by a local Special school The Orchard School. This curriculum supports our ethos of celebrating small steps of progress and focusing on the skills that your child needs, such as social and communication skills. It is organised inline with our existing learning areas: My Thinking, My Communication, My Emotions and Wellbeing, My Independence. Alongside this, your child will still have termly individual targets taken from the outcomes outlined in their EHCP. 

For Autumn 1 our topic is Transport. We will be focussing on different modes of transport each week, including transport by road (cars, buses, bicycles), transport by air (aeroplanes and helicopters) and transport on the water (boats).

We will be restarting our Sunshine Hub Coffee Mornings on Friday 6th October so please join us if you can. They will continue to run on the first Friday of every month.
