• Wow Championships

  (Oak) Year 2 took part in the Wow Championships on Thursday 14th March 2024 and Grace Mary was the highest scoring school overall! Well done to the team!!

   

  Special shout out to Rhys who was the highest scoring boy overall!

• Football Kit Competition

  A MASSIVE thank you to Mr Westwood for entering and winning a competition for the school to be kitted out with a brand new football kit. Thank you to the Premier League for sending them to us.

   

  I think the children will look amazing in them (just as our wonderful models do!)

  

• Red Nose Day - Friday 15th March 2024

  Children are able to wear something red (bearing in mind they will still be participating in Enrichment activities and the Mile Walk) and donate to Comic Relief.

• School Lunch Meal Price Increase

  Dear Parents / Carers

   

  SIPS Catering have increased the price of our school lunch time meals.

   

  From 1st April 2024, prices will increase to £2.60 a meal. 

   

  Universal Free School Meals up to Year 2 will continue as normal.

• School Uniform & PE Kit

  Good morning

   

  We currently have far too many children coming into school in non uniform clothing. 

   

  Please be reminded that school uniform is REQUIRED to be worn EVERY DAY, with the exception of when children have their PE days and Fridays for enrichment/mile walk, where they wear their SCHOOL PE KIT.

   

  School uniform is as follows:

   

  Boys Uniform

  GREY trousers, PLAIN WHITE top, BURGUNDY jumper/sweatshirt/fleece, PLAIN BLACK shoes/PLAIN BLACK trainers.

   

  Girls Uniform

  GREY skirt/trousers, PLAIN WHITE top, BURGUNDY jumper/sweatshirt/cardigan/fleece, PINK check summer dress, PLAIN BLACK shoes/PLAIN BLACK trainers.

   

   

  The days the children have PE are as follows:

   

  Reception (Acorns) MONDAY

  Year One (Oak) TUESDAY

  Year Two - Year Six (Oak, Maple, Beech, Cedar and Sycamore) THURSDAY

  Everyone on a FRIDAY for enrichment/Mile Walk. 

   

  These days are NOT an opportunity for a dress down day. PE kit or normal school uniform MUST be worn. 

   

  A reminder of the PE kit is as follows:

   

  • PLAIN round neck WHITE t-shirts – NO FOOTBALL TOPS/NO LOGOS
  • School jumper or PLAIN BLACK hoodie/sweat tops – NO LARGE LOGOS
  • Plain BLACK shorts (for summer) or plain BLACK jogging pants (for winter) – NO LEGGINGS
  • Suitable trainers

   

  Within school we have a rail of new and nearly new school uniform, from 50p to £1.00 for each item, which can be purchased through the school office. If you do require further help with uniform, please contact the school office, or Mrs Smith who is on the top gate every morning. 

   

  Please ensure your child/children wear the appropriate and correct uniform.
