Nursery (3 year olds)

 

Nursery aged children can access 15 hours free childcare from the term after they turn 3 years old.

We also offer 8 places for 30 hours using the voucher scheme. 

 

Who can get 15 hours of free childcare?

 

All parents of children aged three to four can access 15 hours of government funded childcare. It doesn't matter how much you earn or how many hours you work.

 

Who can get 30 hours of free childcare? 

 

Working parents or carers of children aged three to four in England are currently entitled to 30 hours government funded childcare a week.

 

If your child is three or four years old and you’re eligible for 30 hours of government funded childcare, you’ll need

to fill out an application form online. If you’re eligible, you’ll get a childcare account and a code which you’ll need to show to your childcare provider, along with your child’s date of birth and your National Insurance number.

 

You may have to pay for extra costs such as:

 

  • meals and additional time
  • nappies
  • additional activities, such as trips or experiences.

Nursery (2 year olds)

 

From September 2024 Grace Mary Primary School will offer 2 year old childcare (15 hours - 8:15 am - 11:15 am)

 

Who can get 2 year old free childcare?  

 

Grace Mary have 5, 2 year old places from September 2024.

 

Your 2-year-old can get free 15 hours childcare, the term after they turn 2 years old, if you live in England and get any of the following benefits:

 

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
  • the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.

 

In Sandwell families will have been issued a Golden ticket, which indicates you are eligible for this scheme. Please contact us to discuss this offer if you are thinking of taking up this provision.
