National Poetry Competition
Grace Mary Primary entered a local Poetry Competition on the topic of being 'unique'.
We opened it up to our pupils with very little time to engage. No texts were sent home, and no promotion of the event following National Poetry Week was compiled, however the response and the buzz of children using break times and dinner times, after school, borrowing and finding bits of paper to record them on, we have been overwhelmed with their reaction in creating and celebrating poetry.
Screengrabs and pictures of what our children created, independently, in their own time, with begged and borrowed equipment can be found on our Gallery (Our Children - Gallery - Special Events) or click here
We are happy to annouce that Grace Mary WON the poetry competition. The judges said:
'We LOVED your pupils' entries and could not believe the creativity and enjoyment they showed. Thank you so much for taking part and sharing them with us! '
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED! WELL DONE!
