• Dragon Boat Race at Himley Hall 18.05.2025

  After the success of last year’s Rotary Club Dragon Boat Race, Grace Mary Primary School staff will be taking part again in this year’s Dragon Boat Race on 18th May 2025 at Himley Hall to raise money for our EYFS outdoor learning area.

   

  It is a wonderful day out for families and having your support there would make all the difference.

   

  Here at Grace Mary, we know the importance of children having access to a safe, secure and exciting outdoor area. Outdoor learning improves child development, supports mental health and wellbeing, deepens nature connection and promotes more inclusive and engaging learning.

   

  To enhance our EYFS outdoor area we kindly as for your help to sponsor us and share our Go Fund page with family and friends.  https://gofund.me/c712d164

   

  We also have paper sponsorship forms in the school office for cash donations.  

   

  With the money raised we hope to add exciting features for pupils to engage in.

  Also, 50% of the money raised will go the Rotary Club who support some fantastic local charities.

• Grace Mary Friday Stay & Play

• World Book Day Lunch

• Jane Considine visit

  On Friday 31st January, we were lucky enough to welcome Jane Considine, Teacher and Author of bestselling books, The Write Stuff, Hooked on Books and The Spelling Books, into our school for a demonstration day. Jane and her team have designed a support package to assist schools in rolling out The Write Stuff System, and chose our children at Grace Mary to showcase her product and more importantly: our children's writing. 

   

  The day included a combination of Inset training and demonstration teaching, this meant that we had to find space for nearly 40 school visitors to come and watch our lessons, we were all very excited. 

   

  The children were an absolute credit to us all and really showcased their abilities to create imaginative and purposeful writing pieces. 

  

• WBA Early Years workshop

  West Bromwich Albion Coaches Nathan Russon and James Davies recently delivered a six-week Early Years workshop at Grace Mary Primary School, focusing on the social skill of sharing with an exciting football twist with our Year One class.
